CryptoPunks NFT Sold for $2.6 Million

Last week, a monkey-themed NFT from the CryptoPunks collection was auctioned for 2500 Ethereum. This deal, worth $ 2.6 million at the current Ethereum exchange rate, is one of the most significant in the NFT market recently.

According to data from the NFT marketplace OpenSea, a user acquired this NFT with the ID CrpyoPunk #4464 for 6.97 Ethereum 6 months ago. On July 11, this monkey-themed CryptoPunks piece, which contains only 24 parts in this collection, received an offer of 1,800 Ethereum, but the collector declined.

CrpyoPunks had the highest daily volume of 4,293.89 Ethereum, according to CoinMarketCap statistics. This volume also accounts for 8% of the whole NFT market. Despite the fact that the bear market has damaged both cryptocurrencies and the NFT industry, the floor prices of top collectibles have lately increased.

In the last 30 days, the CryptoPunk project's base price has increased by more than 65 percent. While the average minimum price of crypto's most popular NFT project, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), rose by 21%, the minimum price of BAYC's side project, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, rose by 25%.
